A Good Start

Silence

This week I was very happy to meet both of my goals for exhibit submissions. I am finding that having an offsite studio is a great boon in this process.

Sure, I’m still doing a lot of creating at home, but there is something in going someplace else to work that helps me to focus. I go there, sit down, and just do the work. And as every artist knows, that’s what has to happen. There are no shortcuts to developing your style, or your skills, or creating a body of work.

I have one more target date this month, and several over the course of the next 6 months. And the pieces aren’t just going to make themselves. So Monday morning will find me back at the studio.

And happy to be there!
