Border Art Biennial Collages Finished
With all the other excitement around here this weekend, I didn’t have a chance to post the finished collages for you to see.
Each of these is 12″x12″. Prepared and painted papers mounted on a stretched canvas substrate. They will be framed simply with clean, sleek wood and finished with a hanging wire on the rear of the structure. I place my hanging wires inside the canvas stretcher frame so that the pieces hang flat against the wall.
Since these pieces will be hanging at the same time in museums on either side of the Texas-Mexico border, I wanted them to be related by color, size, and content.

It will be a little while before I know if they’ve been juried into the exhibit.

I REALLY like these…the edges at the bottom make me want to reach out and touch them.

Thanks so much, Sherry. I love the way the pigment flows on the edges with this technique.
