Studio Time, Squared
It’s been a busy week in the studio. I finished my submission for the Texas Museum of Fiber Arts call and submitted it… with 2 hours and 15 minutes to spare!
I’ve gone back to working on an entry for the Tactile Architecture exhibit that will be in Houston this autumn. I began this piece in Montana, but missed last year’s deadline, so put it away when we relocated to Austin. Time to finish it, whether or not I ultimately submit it to the exhibit. This piece will be about 28″ square if I finish it in the manner I am currently planning.
In addition, I’ve begun textile pieces for the SAQA auction (12″ square), and a piece in celebration of the QuiltArt List’s 15th birthday (15″ square). I also need to get a small piece (6″ square) in the mail for the Rochester Contemporary Art Center’s 6×6 fundraiser.
For someone who never worked in a square format until recently, I sure am doing a lot of it!
